Group A Rotavirus Test Kit Strips

Our Group A Rotavirus Test Kit Strips is a ready-to-use test strip that is based on the use of a homogeneous immune-chromatographic system with colloidal gold particles. The faeces sample must be diluted in the dilution buffer that is supplied with the test. The test’s specificity is due to a monoclonal antibody directed against Group A VP6 proteins of human Rotavirus that is conjugated to the colloidal gold. This conjugate is insolubilized on a polyester membrane. Each strip is sensitized with a guinea pig anti-Rotavirus polyclonal serum and a goat anti-mouse polyserum. The reagents are purified by affinity chromatography on protein A or G and adsorbed to the nitrocellulose.
